🏫 School Visits to The Oaks

Where Magic, Nature, and Curiosity Come Alive

At The Oaks, we believe education should be immersive, inspiring, and just a little bit magical. That’s why we welcome school groups for unique half-day or full-day experiences that blend science, sustainability, and storytelling.

🧠 The Illusion Tour

Step into the Unseen at The Oaks - where mirrors whisper, faces follow, and nothing is ever quite what it seems. Wander through a world where a single glance can awaken an enchanted portrait, a wand can unlock hidden treasure, and a table holds an infinite abyss beneath its surface. Watch your reflection speak with a mind of its own, vanish beneath an invisibility cloak, or tower like a giant atop a trick of perspective. Students are encouraged to question what they see and think critically about perception, reality, and the power of perspective. Our illusions aren’t just fun - they’re full of fascinating physics, psychology, and art.

🐝 The Maison du Miel - our Museum of Hymenoptera

Learn about the secret life of bees and their vital role in our ecosystem. In our interactive session, students will:

  • Discover the lifecycle of the honey bee

  • Explore ethical and sustainable beekeeping

  • Watch real-time footage from our live hive cameras

  • See how honey is extracted, stored, and labelled

  • Taste our award-winning honey made right here at The Oaks

🌍 A Living Example of Sustainability

As proud recipients of the Green Tourism Gold Award, we offer hands-on lessons in environmental stewardship. Learn how we harvest rainwater, protect biodiversity, and operate a low-impact guesthouse and how students can be changemakers in their own schools and communities.
